This website is maintained by Chris Proctor, an English teacher at Westlake High School in Austin, Texas. As the menu above reflects, I am passionate about the relationship between curriculum and assessment, and how technology can improve the quality of teaching and learning.

The audience for this site is ambiguous: its semipublic nature reflects the public professionalism inherent to good teaching. I speak primarily to other English teachers, though I welcome students, parents, administrators, and other stakeholders. While teaching has a core of skills and knowledge perhaps not immediately accessible to the general reader, it is work that should take place in public.
